Casey graduated from Bishop Verot and went on to graduate from the University of Florida. Upon graduation in Gainseville, Casey returned to Fort Myers and returned to the Viking Basketball Program. Coach Breen is in his fifth season as an assistant varsity coach at BVHS. Coach Breen focuses on working with the perimeter players on the Viking roster. He is currently employed by Engineering Systems. He is married to BV admissions director, Deanna (Custer) Breen.
Casey is one of the greatest clutch shooters in BV history. In a one year stetch, Casey hit 3 game-winning 3 point shots. Each of the shots (vs Clewiston, Fort Myers, and Naples) resulted in a one-point Verot victory. Breen was a 3 year letterman for the Vikings leading BV to an 18-9 record his senior season. This was the first winning record for the Viking varsity in 6 years.
