The Basketball Academy Kansas City, KS
(During the summer recruiting period, top Verot players attend one of only 3 free summer camps in the country and play in front of over 100 NCAA Division One coaches.)
Play the top teams in Florida Every Year.
In the past 5 years, Verot has only played (on average) 12 regular season games per year vs top teams from SW Florida. That means over half of the regular season games are against the top teams from around not only the USA, but certainly from Florida. As BV's reputation has grown, so have the invites to top events. In the past 5 years, BV has yearly played the top teams from Jacksonville (Bishop Kenny, Ribault), Miami (Belen Jesuit, Boyd-Anderson, Dr. Krop, Coral Reef), Tampa (Berkeley Prep, St. Pete Catholic, Plant) and Orlando (Winter Park). This season BV will travel to the Hoops For Heart in Orlando and to the MLK Classic at Dunbar, the Gary Anders Shootout in New Port Richey, and the Keller Classic at Charlotte High.

Verot basketball players will not only play basketball, but will contribute to the school community. Bishop Verot holds ALL of its students to college level academic standards. We will make sure our athletes represent the school with the utmost class and dignity. We will focus on serving others and will be selfless when contributing to the team, the school, or the community. Don't judge the BV Basketball Program on what the All-State Players say.... ask the 12th man and his parents about The Program. They will tell you that it is not about basketball...it is about LIFE.
